Part 2
The Tri-Cities: Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam
Today we will be heading a little further East from Downtown Vancouver and taking a look what these three lush and growing neighbourhoods have to offer. I'll start by mentioning that it is possible to buy a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home for the price of some studios in Downtown. With populations of 130,000 in Coquitlam, 35,000 in Port Moody, and 57,000 in Port Coquitlam, the Tri-Cities has seen a rise in young families, and couples who are looking for detached houses and community-based condominiums. These areas of the Lower Mainland are surrounded in natural beauty featuring some of the best waterfront parks, greenery, and trails. With the expansion of Coquitlam Centre, Lougheed Town Centre, and the soon to be launched Evergreen rapid transit line, it's no wonder why the Tri-Cities has seen a strong uptick in demand. Learn more about: Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam.
Here is what the Tri-Cities has to offer:
Just 5 minutes from Coquitlam Centre, you can find yourself in a 2011 build by Polygon. A sizeable 2 bed and 2 bath layout offers more than enough room for a young family at a great price. This amazing development offers access to resort-style amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, barbecue area, full sized fitness centre, and more. Pick your mode of transportation with 2 parking spots and a location that is walking distance to the Evergreen Line opening in early 2017.
Soaring over 20 floors high above Port Moody, you'll have a tough time finding a more centrally located condo. A large one bedroom alongside incredible building amenities including a pool, hot tub, fitness room, and a massive party lounge. Step outside of your new building and you're in the heart of Port Moody Centre with familiar restaurants, shopping, and charming local eats and groceries. A short walk and you can find yourself at Rocky Point for a day at the park or aboard a kayak on the Burrard Inlet.
You'll feel no shortage of space here! Well under $400,000 and you'll still find yourself immersed in over 900 square feet of stunning living space. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 parkings, and a spacious common area will make your home the entertainer's dream! In a young 3 year old building, you can experience Port Coquitlam. All major shopping outlets have opened recently in PoCo as residents of the Lower Mainland are recognizing the growth and potential of this area. The Traboulay Trail highlights the natural beauty of this region with 25 kilometres worth of riverfront exploration.
Another option buyers have to get into the market at a comfortable price point and one that enables more flexible payment schedules are pre-sales (see my previous post about pre-sales here).
